Behram stunned everyone: Xhaka and Shaqiri's eagle against Serbia was stupid, we didn't go to war

Everyone remembers when the Albanian footballers, Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri, caused a stir in Switzerland by waving the eagle in the historic match against Serbia, in 2018.

Valon Behrami, the former footballer of the Swiss national team, was asked about this episode in an interview given to Blich.ch. Behrami does not hesitate to call it nonsense.

"I really hate this topic to this day. Football should not mix with politics. That gesture has no place in football, it was stupid. We had not gone to war. In Kosovo, I was accused of not participating in the party, but many Serbian footballers were born after the war and they are my friends. This is the reason why they should just play football in this world and ignore everything else", said Behrami.
