No one like Hysaj in the National Team! The Shkodran defender makes history  

The friendly against Luxembourg was historic for Elseid Hysaj. The Shkodran footballer was active from the first minute and received the captain's armband as a special recognition, despite the presence of Berat Gjimshiti in the starting lineup.

With this appearance, Hysaj officially becomes the first player in the history of the red and black national team to reach the quota of 100 official matches. Before the start of the match, the Albanian Football Federation organized a special ceremony where president Armand Duka handed the defender a symbolic jersey with the number 100.

According to official FIFA data, he becomes the 677th footballer globally to reach this milestone. Thanks to this record, Albania is positioned as the 121st country in the world to register at least one player with a hundred or more international appearances.
