Arrest before Serbia-Albania match, police found KLA jersey in player's bag...

Serbian police have arrested a 35-year-old man with the initials EE at the Merdar border crossing, Serbian media report.

During the search of the Peugeot vehicle in which he was traveling from Kosovo, authorities found a bag in the trunk containing a green T-shirt with the inscription "KLA".

According to the Serbian Interior Ministry, he is suspected of inciting national hatred. The Italian citizen has been detained for 48 hours and is expected to be sent to the High Public Prosecutor's Office.

The incident occurred on the eve of the match between Serbia and Albania, which will be played tonight in Leskovac. Serbian authorities have increased security measures ahead of this match, which is considered high-risk. No further details have been given yet regarding the purpose of the Italian citizen's trip.
