Allegri and Leao, how Milan is changing

Milan have started the pre-season with positive signs under Massimiliano Allegri. In the friendly against Liverpool, the team showed a new style of play, based on defensive organisation and quick counterattacks.

Rafael Leao was the absolute protagonist, playing efficiently and positioning himself as a centre-forward. Allegri has publicly praised the Portuguese player, stressing that he has reached the maturity for a high-level season.

The coach's strategy is expected to work against teams that possess the ball, but may require alternative plans against teams that defend deep.

For this reason, Milan aims to strengthen the midfield with Jashari and bring in a center forward. Leao's performance and the fans' reaction to the subscription campaign have raised expectations for the new season.
