Drastic change in Europe, Albania climbs the rankings

After the early eliminations of Egnatia in the first round of the Champions League and Partizan in the first round of the Conference League, the situation for Albanian teams has changed.

In the second round of the Conference League, all three participating teams, Egnatia, Dinamo and Vllaznia, achieved victories in their first matches. Egnatia and Dinamo triumphed on the road, while Vllaznia overturned the result against Vikingur Reykjavik at home.

This success is of great importance for Albanian football, as it directly affects the UEFA rankings and maintaining the four-team quota in European competitions.

Currently, Albania has secured 1,375 points and ranks among the countries with the highest coefficient for this phase.

It is now expected that Egnatia, Vllaznia and Dinamo will confirm their good form in the return matches, to continue as long as possible in Europe and to ensure continued success for the Superiore.
