Atletico Madrid files lawsuit over Alvarez penalty, alleging manipulation by UEFA

The International Union of Peñas de Atletico Madrid and the Humo Signals Association have filed a criminal complaint against UEFA and its president, Aleksander Ceferin. The lawsuit was filed in Madrid and is related to suspicions of forgery of official documents.

The subject of the lawsuit is Julian Alvarez's penalty in the match against Real Madrid, for which the associations claim that the video footage released by UEFA was manipulated. A report prepared by the European Computer Forensics Laboratory supports this claim.

The associations have previously requested the release of the full version of the video, but have not received a response from UEFA. According to them, this case constitutes a serious violation of the integrity of the game. This lawsuit demands transparency and institutional accountability.
