After the start of Russia's war in Ukraine, Albania "opened its doors" to Ukrainian citizens, who left their country.

Today's decision of the Council of Ministers gives Ukrainian citizens the right to stay until September 17 of this year.

8 ministries of the country were charged with the implementation of this decision.

We remind you that hundreds of refugee women and children from Ukraine have taken refuge in Albania after fleeing the Russian war.

“Një shtesë në Vendimin nr.173, datë 18.3.2022, të Këshillit të Ministrave, “për dhënien e mbrojtjes së përkohshme shtetasve ukrainas, personave pa shtetësi dhe personave që kanë fituar mbrojtje ndërkombëtare në Ukrainë, me vendqëndrim të përkohshëm ose të përhershëm në Ukrainë, dhe për krijimin e task-forcës për menaxhimin e fluksit të kërkuesve të mbrojtjes ndërkombëtare”

Në mbështetje të nenit 100 të Kushtetutës dhe të nenit 82, të ligjit nr.10/2021, “Për azilin në Republikën e Shqipërisë”, me propozimin e ministrit të Brendshëm dhe të ministrit për Evropën dhe Punët e Jashtme, Këshilli i Ministrave

VENDOSI:

1. Pas pikës 3, të vendimit nr.173, datë 18.3.2022, të Këshillit të Ministrave shtohet pika 3/1, me këtë përmbajtje:

"3/1. With the end of the deadline, defined in point 3, of this decision, for the persons who are still in the territory of the Republic of Albania, their stay is postponed until 17.9.2023."

2. The Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Tourism and the Environment and the Ministry of Finance and Economy are charged with the implementation of this decision.

This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette", says VKM./ CNA.al
