Deterioration of the weather is expected/ General Maritime Directorate with an important announcement

The General Maritime Directorate has announced the deterioration of the weather, this evening.

Through an announcement on social networks, boat owners are urged to take safety measures.

"Based on the forecast for the deteriorating hydrometeorological situation along the Albanian coast during February 25 - 26, 2023, starting at 22:00 on February 24, 2023, we will have worsening weather where the wind will be in the South-South-East direction in strength up to 7-8bft force with wind speed up to 30-35m/s and wave height from 2.50 to 3.50 meters.

In order to prevent any unexpected situation due to atmospheric conditions, we ask for the cooperation of all entities that exercise activity in the maritime field, to take all the necessary measures to secure the means in the port and increase the readiness of the crew in the vessels .

The improvement of the deteriorated hydrometeorological situation will be after February 27, 2023 at 06:00, the General Maritime Directorate announces. /CNA.al
