Babies' Marathon in Pogradec

Two days ago in the city of Pogradec, the most interesting event in all of Albania was held, known as the Baby Marathon.

In its second edition in the lake city, the competition between the babies culminated this organization, in addition to the various activities that were organized in 3 consecutive days. A huge turnout of around 100 babies competed in three categories including toddlers, toddlers and running babies.

For the organizer, Eritan Kamolli, this is an activity that took place last year as well, but the fact that there was very high interest from parents, was brought this year as well, but with added days. Kamolli says that this will not be the last year, as it is being considered to expand the age group of children, including the competition between the ages of 5-10.

"It is an activity that we have started since last year and this year, seeing the great interest of the parents, we thought of extending it to three days. It is an activity where about 100 babies of different ages participate and they compete with the motive to enjoy, have fun and enjoy this beautiful atmosphere. Of course it will not be the last year, we think that this activity will continue and expand even more in days and time the age group marathon, from 5 to 10 years old, so that it becomes more beautiful for both parents and children who feel pleasure in this activity."

Part of the jury of the event was also the national running champion, Pavlina Evro, who expressed herself very excited and satisfied for her participation in this activity. Among other things, Euro shows the great importance of these activities because they contribute to future generations.

"Undoubtedly, it is a nice marathon because there are children from 6 months to 24. This is a preparation for the future generations that we will see tomorrow after many years at the "Enkelana Night" marathon. We parents always direct the children where they want and where they have space, naturally where they have fun doing what they want. I definitely felt excited, even when they were running, and when I handed out the prizes. It's a special emotion because they are very young children."

Two of the winning babies are Nina Taçi and Aron Vako who managed to reach the finish line first. With their babies by their side, the parents shared the special emotions they experienced this evening.

"We feel very happy. The boy won in the third category, hand and foot. Very nice and pleasant activities for our children."

"I'm very happy. It's the first time it's participating since it's also small. The atmosphere is extraordinary, we're happy, the oyster won the first prize. I thought it would come out first and it did."
