On Sunday, our country will be affected by unstable weathe...

A few days ago, journalist Osman Stafa, at a press conference of the director of the QSUT, Anxhela Paparizo, asked an accusatory question. Perhaps a "fake news", a commissioned piece of news, a half-truth to make more noise, and shamefully the director of the QSUT said a short sentence: "I do not have such information."

In fact, a director of the institution, knowing what is happening at the QSUT, gives a direct response. These are baseless accusations and slander against a team of professionals who provide not only a quality service, but also one that saves lives, and with doctors who, with salaries dozens of times lower than their European colleagues, provide a service even above European standards.
These are the same doctors, the same cardiac surgery staff or other cardiology structures at the University Hospital who do a job not only to be appreciated, not only to receive an excellent grade, but to emphasize that they are heroic for the quality and standards of service they provide.

Such services in Europe cost tens of thousands of euros, in Albania they are almost free. In the QSUT there are hundreds and hundreds of daily cases, lives saved, by these doctors and this staff. And to come out and say that they take money, and to put in the amount of one or two thousand euros, is more than a wickedness, not to mention a public ass, because with that much money you get the cardiac surgery services from the private sector and you don't need to go to the QSUT at all.
Those who accuse or the director who doesn't know how to answer. How can a doctor get 3 thousand euros for an intervention at the QSUT when for that amount or a little more the intervention can be done in a private hospital?

That there may be problems in the health system is not discussed, but to speak, to let your mouths be heard, not only by the journalist who asks, but also by the director who does not know how to answer, putting a stain on a team of professionals who are our national asset because many others have left. And to put a mark on them or to stain them is more than madness, more than shameful.

If there are facts and evidence, they are made public. This case is also reported in the media and journalism has the opportunity. Today, it is reported on social networks with name and surname, such and such a doctor has taken money from such and such a patient. But this does not happen. There is talk in the smoke and questions are asked in press conferences with crazy values. What happens at the QSUT is the provision of an excellent service with the best European standards to patients, let alone capacities and time. For such services in Europe you have to wait six months or a year. Whereas from the team of cardiac surgery doctors at the QSUT, you get them in a few weeks, that's the difference.

This part of this payment, as if they come there to take money from your pocket, is a big public fraud. There may be irresponsible individuals or people, but in most cases it is standard and everyone already knows that in the health service, especially in cardiac surgery and other cardiology structures, it has never happened and is unheard of for doctors to be asked for money. It is one thing what the patients themselves do and the gifts they want to bring. It is another thing to say that doctors asked me for money at the QSUT of cardiac surgery.
Perhaps it is a question ordered by private hospitals, by the competition of doctors who work in these, some in one private and some in another. And for reasons of jealousy and personal grudges, they throw such jokes at press conferences, where more than the journalist's responsibility for the question asked lies the responsibility for the response of the head of the institution, who not only did not protect the medical staff and the team that works in this structure, but lowered her head as if she approved.

In fact, the truth is quite different. Cardiac surgery provides a very high-quality service, and the accusations stimulated by injections of competition from private hospitals to create false accusations against cardiac surgeons is more than shameful.
More shameful than the head of the director who did not know how to gather himself and give a direct and strong answer to the journalist in the eye, defending the doctors. But the director is here today, gone tomorrow. The stain remains on those honorable doctors where not all are the same, without any discussion. But, accusing a mass without having facts and evidence is more than evil.
If there are facts and evidence, the journalist brings them out, if the citizens have facts and evidence, they go and file charges. Those cardiologists are national assets who are tarnished by the silence and ignorance to give answers by an irresponsible director in a press conference with a provocative journalist with false accusations that come from the incentives of competition, from private hospitals but also from the media of the "Fane Kapter" cauldron . /CNA
