The candidate of the Democratic Party, Belind Kelliçi, reacted to the statement made by the current mayor, Erion Veliaj, who said that he managed to plant 1 million trees in Tirana.

Through a post on social networks, Këlliçi said that the residents see how many trees have been planted, emphasizing that on television they appear planting trees while the residents see how the buildings are planted.

"FACT CHECK: The mayor claims to have planted one million trees in Tirana which would translate into 30 more new parks with the same area as the Great Park of Tirana.
