Plans for the Tirana race/ Braçe: I have not spoken to Rama about my

Socialist MP Erion Braçe revealed today that he has not communicated with Prime Minister and Socialist leader Edi Rama regarding his ambition to run for Mayor of Tirana.

Through a video post on social media, Braçe states that in such a step, the membership should make its decision through a vote.

"No, I have not spoken to Edi Rama about my candidacy. It is not a lack of respect, on the contrary it is respect for what he is - the leader of the Socialist Party, the first equal among equals in a party that must choose by vote of its members, sympathizers, the leftists as a whole, the people they want to represent and the path they should follow. These are principles from August 2005, which make a difference and I stand by them, especially when it has become time for competition, merit, votes, to be replaced by announcements on the wall, done, and that have made unvoted and unvotable people leaders at various levels", - says Braçe. /CNA
