Scandal with Russian financing/ Celibashi: Serious violation of the law, criminal offense

The head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, in a statement to the media, gave his comment regarding Russian funding.

Celibashi stated that the case is being addressed by the prosecution and constitutes a serious violation of the law.

" There are provisions in the Criminal and Electoral Code to stop Russian funding, these are issues that are being addressed by the Prosecutor's Office. It constitutes a serious violation of the law, which is classified as a criminal offense and will have to be dealt with by the relevant bodies, the Prosecution and the Courts", Celibashi told the media.

We recall that some time ago, the international media wrote that the PD was financed by the Russians at the time it was led by former president Lulzim Basha./ CNA.al
