Rama in Yerevan/ Arrives at the 8th EPC Summit, meets with counterpart Pashinyan

Prime Minister Edi Rama arrived today at the 8th Summit of the European Political Community (EPC) in Yerevan, Armenia.

Rama shared this Monday footage from the start of the summit proceedings, where he also met with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.

Within the framework of the Summit, Prime Minister Rama will participate in the second informal meeting of the European Coalition Against Drugs (ECAD), which will be co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

Discussions will focus on strengthening the fight against drug trafficking, including maritime and port trafficking, the fight against illicit financial flows, money laundering and corruption, as well as addressing the challenges related to synthetic drugs in Europe.

The Head of Government will participate in the roundtable co-chaired with the Prime Minister of Finland, Petteri Orpo, on the topic "Strengthening connectivity and economic security in the context of the green transition". 

Meanwhile, it is reported that the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, will also be part of the summit. /CNA
