Rama in Estonia: Geopolitical anxiety weakens NATO's response to security in Europe

Prime Minister Edi Rama was present this afternoon at the forum being held in Estonia.

In his speech at the panel discussion, Rama stated that security in Europe is an important issue, which also stands at the center of recent discussions regarding NATO.

According to Rama, geopolitical anxiety combined with other elements of the future could call into question the response of the Alliance, of which Albania is a part.

"Albanians are the Taliban of the West, which means that we are with the Transatlantic Alliance until the end. There is a question that needs an answer: Can Europe under certain conditions allow defense imperatives, geopolitical anxiety and fragmented responses to create a long-term imbalance between security ambitions and what I call the resilience of civilization. It means that we are facing the risk that the security burden will distort economic priorities, cause an overreaction and what is the most tragic part for NATO 3.0 is that bureaucratic fragmentation weakens the response", - said Rama./ CNA
