"Technical government for the elections"/ Vokshi in EPP Women: Without a free vote, there is no stability

The deteriorating state of democracy in Albania was one of the issues discussed in Brussels at the Women's Forum of the European People's Party.

Vice President Albana Vokshi raised the problems of corruption and organized crime, the persecution of the opposition leadership and the demand for a technical government before the elections during the EPP Women's Congress.

Vokshi said that only free and fair elections can guarantee that Albania is accepted as equal by the member countries of the European Union.

"If you don't have the right to vote freely, all other rights are an illusion. There is no real democracy, no real stability!" - emphasized Vokshi, who appealed to the participants for support in efforts to restore democracy in Albania./ CNA
