Protests/ Rama: When the argument is replaced by insults, the result is not

Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted on social media regarding an episode recorded at a concert in Tirana, where calls similar to those of the protest were made.

Rama writes that verbal violence is increasing day by day against anyone who does not side with the protesters on the boulevard.

He further emphasizes that protest is a democratic right and should always be respected, but adds that the right to speech is more important than the content of words.

The head of government says that in this spirit, Albania only loses, the economy only shrinks, and investments only leave.

I don't listen to his music. But I consider the online violence against him, the violent calls to boycott his concert, the threats after his success last night, as the most despicable expression of a phenomenon that is accompanying the boulevard protest; a form of degradation of public life on social channels now elevated to a new level of group violence, which should not be justified, should not be relativized and should not be accepted by hiding in the corner of silence, but should be fought with the power of the word.

The fact is that the international hysteria on social networks is gradually subsiding, which has nothing to do with the nature of Albania, with Zvërnec or with the flamingos of Narta, but is fed by ideological contradictions of this kind, where undoubtedly the opposition to the American President is the main one - otherwise I highly doubt that a single international would deal with a tourism development project in Albania. And there is no way it will be otherwise, it will gradually subside, because Albania is a very small square for the global anti-Trump movement!

But on the other hand, a wave of verbal violence is rising every day, full of pressure, vulgarity and threats against anyone who does not align with the boulevard protesters, from calls in the streets to "get up from the coffee" because the homeland is calling you, to calls to block the streets because whoever wants to do other work should be forced to deal with the patriotic work of the boulevard, to an intimidating online hysteria in the name of the homeland that has nothing to do with the elegance and peace of the flamingos!

History has shown us more than once and more often than not, that this is precisely the form in which many movements have historically emerged which have subsequently transformed into organized examples of political and social intolerance. Not by convincing with logical arguments, but by imposing themselves with pseudo-moral pressure. Not by respecting the right of others to think differently, but by declaring anyone who does not submit to the pseudo-patriotic call a traitor, a sellout, an enemy of the people or an accomplice to evil.

Me auto-sugjestionin se vetëm një grup njerëzish zotëron të vërtetën absolute, ushqehet përçmimi ndaj shumicës që nuk bashkohet me ta dhe mbështetet ideja e ligë, se ata që nuk protestojnë duhen turpëruar, izoluar, penguar apo deri edhe largqoftë, dhunuar fizikisht derisa të detyrohen të zgjedhin anë. Dhe kështu demokracia nuk merr më shumë frymë, po fillon të humbasë pulsin e saj.

Asnjë lëvizje ekstremiste nuk nis duke marrë pushtetin me forcë, po duke pretenduar se vetëm ajo e përfaqëson kombin, vetëm ajo e dëgjon zërin e popullit dhe vetëm ajo ka të drejtën morale për të vendosur në emër të popullit se kush është patriot e kush jo.

Në Itali, skuadronet e zeza të Musolinit u shfaqën duke intimiduar kundërshtarët në rrugë para se të pushtonin institucionet - kush ecte në punën e tij ishte shënjestra e tyre e preferuar. Në Gjermani, militantët nazistë krijuan rrugëve një klimë frike e presioni shoqëror, kohë përpara se të fitonin pushtetin - çohuni nga kafja ishte ulërima e tyre e preferuar. Në Greqi, Agimi i Artë u ngrit mbi të njëjtën frymë përjashtuese, agresive dhe nacionaliste, duke ushqyer ndasi, urrejtje dhe presion ndaj kujtdo që nuk i nënshtrohej hajvanllëkut të vet pseudo-patriotik, për “Greqinë që duhet të ishte vetëm e grekëve”!

“Ne jemi populli i vërtetë” dhe kush s’është me ne është “armiku i popullit”, është formula që i paraprin pasojave të rënda politike e shoqërore, kur kjo formulë përqafohet nga një grupim njerëzish me fjalor të kufizuar, po me mëri të shfrenuar.

Dhe këtu nuk është aspak fjala se kush proteston sot duhet etiketuar me vrap si neo-fashist, kurrësesi jo, sepse shumëkush nga ushtruesit e dhunës online as nuk e di fare se çfarë bën! Por fjala është tek fakti se kush dhunon online ata që nuk rreshtohen me protestën, e që janë padiskutim shumica e popullit shqiptar (edhe përtej shumicës që mbështet qeverinë e Partisë Socialiste), jo vetëm nuk e bën Shqipërinë më të mirë po godet aty mu ku Shqipëria ka pikën e vet më të fortë, refuzimin e saj organik ndaj frymës nacional-socialiste apo neo-komuniste, prej të cilave shqiptarët kanë parë picirrin e zi dhe të cilat kanë bashkuar në bulevard edhe ekstremet politike të shqiptarizmës së shtirur, nga llapaqorrat tek qorrallapat pa harruar grusht-shtetasit e lodhur të 1998-ës apo të ardhurit nga treva të tjera shqiptare për të mbrojtur Shqipërinë Etnike nga investimet e huaja!

Prandaj diskutimi nuk është aspak nëse dikush proteston apo jo. Protesta është e drejtë demokratike dhe duhet respektuar gjithmonë; shumica qeverisëse e Partisë Socialiste e ka respektin për protestën një ndër plot arritjet demokratike të Shqipërisë nën udhëheqjen e saj. Por po ashtu, e drejta e fjalës është më e rëndësishme se sa përmbajtja e fjalëve dhe kur protesta nxjerr si hije të vetën pretendimin se kush nuk proteston është më pak qytetar, më pak patriot apo më pak shqiptar, atëherë demokracia nuk rrezikohet nga lart po nga poshtë.

Dhe historia na ka mësuar më shumë se sa një herë, që kur dialogu zëvendësohet nga anatema, argumenti nga sharja dhe bindja nga frikësimi, e kur turma merr kot duke i dhënë vetes të drejtën të vendosë kush ka të drejtë të flasë e kush jo, përfundimi nuk është kurrë liria po fundi i saj. Nga kjo frymë Shqipëria vetëm humbet, ekonomia vetëm tkurret, investimet vetëm largohen dhe e ardhmja vetëm mjegullohet.

Por ky popull nuk ka ardhur deri këtu për t’u kthyer mbrapa atje ku ishte, po për t’u ngjitur më lart. Pa frikë nga lartësia ku s’ka qenë kurrë, po me bindjen që çfarë e ka penguar në shekuj të arrijë aty, nuk ka për ta penguar dot më! Dhe me vendosmërinë për t’ia dalë deri në fund këtë herë, edhe sikur të tërë djajtë të bëhen bashkë për t’ia punuar, siç ia kanë punuar jo njëherë në historinë e vet të dhimbshme. /CNA
