SP MP: On June 12th we will not have a protest, but a holiday

Socialist MP Erion Malaj, invited to the show Noë with Erla Mëhilli, stated that June 12 is the date of the founding of the Socialist Party and that the organization for this activity was done more than a month ago before the protests began.

Malaj rejected claims that it is an "anti-rally", stating that it is a previously planned celebration for the founding of the SP.

"Now I'm giving you a direct answer. Given that June 12 is exactly the date of the founding of the Socialist Party and that the closing of all the 35th anniversary celebrations would take place on June 12, we have scheduled this with all the political leaders in a meeting, if I'm not mistaken, a month and a half ago. We don't have a counter-meeting tomorrow, but we have a celebration that we planned a month and a half ago. We have scheduled the date of June 12 a long time ago and this coincides with the date of the founding of the Socialist Party. We are not holding a counter-meeting. We have left all citizens to their right to protest", said Malaj./ CNA
