Platform for a Sustainable Economy/ Jaka: We pay for unfair taxes

The Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Business Associations organized today a consultative meeting on the topic: “Developing a platform for sustainable economic development.” Also present was the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.

The President of the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nikolin Jaka, emphasized that there are still many problems regarding several sub-areas of economic development.

Jaka said that we are currently paying unfair taxes. Jaka expressed concern about the way contractual relations function from an economic perspective, about the tax on clean lands, about property taxes.

Jakaj said that there is also a state of financial collapse within companies, which is becoming a problem for economic development.

"We pay taxes on clean land, like waste."

We think it's an unfair tax.

Property taxes are another problem.

A review should be conducted for properties with contractual relationships.

There is financial collapse within the company.

There can be no taxation on properties that have no efficiency whatsoever.

We have fought an extraordinary battle on this issue.

The problem must be resolved because the Administrative Court takes cases up to 7 or even 10 years.

There should be a deep reform of the process.
