Sejko: Bank of Albania decided to keep the base interest rate unchanged

The Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, gave details from today's meeting of the Supervisory Council in a press conference. Sejko said that economic growth remains solid and financial markets are characterized by low risk actions.

During the current year, the governor declared that inflation is expected to return close to target.

Regarding the base interest rate, Sejko stated that the Supervisory Council decided to keep it unchanged at 2.75%.

" Economic growth remains solid. Financial markets have been calm, they are characterized by low risk actions. Credit to the private sector has increased significantly. Non-performing loans are very low. During 2025, inflation is expected to gradually return close to the target. The Bank of Albania decided to keep the key interest rate unchanged at 2.75% ," said Sejko./ CNA
