PD "sends" the violence against journalists to the Assembly/ Demands

Taking the trigger from cases of rape of journalists, the deputy of the Democratic Party, Ina Zhupa, has filed a draft law in the Assembly.

The draft law provides for the strengthening of measures and the increase of punishment for persons who violate, injure or kill journalists.

In a statement to journalists, the deputy said that media workers put their lives at risk to report the news, while raising accusations that Prime Minister Edi Rama is inciting violence against journalists with the terms used in his speeches.

"It is one of those cases where the draft law directly affects you and your work as journalists, but also all media workers.

Projektligji që synon ndryshimin e kodit penal të Shqipërisë, duke rritur dënimet për ata që kanosin gazetarët, ata që dhunojnë, kanosin, apo vrasin gazetarët, duke uruar që kjo e fundit të mos ndodhë kurrë.

Dënimet janë klasifikuar si dënime për shkak të deytrës dhe klasifikohen me të njëjtën ashpërsi si ato të kryera ndaj punonjësve të Policisë së Shtetit, apo ndaj mjekut.

Për shkak se edhe gazetarët sot për shkak të retorikës kundra gazetarëve që përdor Kryeministri Rama, duke i cilësuar ata si ‘kazan’, duke i cilësuar mediat e kapura, duke i çuar në riedukim, duke i përdorur këto terma të cilat nxisin dhunë, urrejtje, kanë rritur edhe rastet e dhunimeve të gazetarëve.
