Paloka before the EP: We are supported by the European People's Parties

The deputy of the Democratic Party, Edi Paloka, declared before the European Parliament that they have received the support of the European People's Parties.

"PPE supports the PD, appreciates its contribution in support of European integration and demands a tough fight against organized crime, corruption, money laundering and their influence in the current government", said Paloka.

"Since the group that is in meetings is continuing the meetings, even outside the agenda, I am giving you information regarding the meetings that have been held so far with the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the European Parliament, Mekalister and other MEPs of the EPP group, who were informed about the political situation in Albania, about the continuous attack on the opposition by the majority, the political imprisonment of the opposition leadership, the influence of organized crime and corruption on the situation in the country.

The EPP support the DP, appreciate its contribution in support of European integration and demand a tough fight against organized crime, corruption, money laundering and their influence in the current government.

The EPP will support the DP in the electoral process and in its opposition struggle in general for free and fair elections.

Albania, as a member of NATO, must respect the free vote of its citizens and obligatorily implement the recommendations of the OSCE/ODIHR.
