The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party continued its official visit to the European Parliament today. MPs Gazment Bardhi, Jorida Tabaku, Agron Gjekmarkaj and Albana Vokshi have met with MEPs Mr. Lukas MANDL and Mr. Davor Ivo STIER, representative of the EPP parliamentary group in the European Parliament.

The Democratic Party fully supports the European integration of Albania, as a dream of the vast majority of honest Albanians. However, European integration has been inhibited due to 12 years of bad governance by Edi Rama.

Unlike Edi Rama, for the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, integration must first take place with the respect of European values ??in the governance of the country, where the foundation must be the well-being of the citizens, the protection of the public interest, the fight with zero tolerance against corruption and organized crime..

Instead of reforms that bring Albania closer to the EU, the criminalized power of Edi Rama aims to annihilate the opposition through political imprisonment, bringing us back 34 years and more.

Depriving the freedom of the Leader of the Opposition in an election year, violating the universal principle of presumption of innocence, or imprisoning MP Salianji because he denounced organized crime-government links, violating the sanctity of freedom of expression, aims at the inequality of the parties and damage to the opposition in the elections.

For Edi Rama, only the use of organized crime or the dirty money of corruption is no longer enough to keep power. That is why it has moved to another stage, that of annihilation by any means and price of the political opponent.
