Deputy Elda Hoti, in the protest in front of the European Parliament, has stated that today Albania is governed by a dictator who has taken the country hostage.

The MP said that crime gangs and Rama have degraded the country.

"Albania today is governed by a dictator like Rama who has taken the country hostage, which was seen in the interceptions of 'Sky', where the criminal gangs decide who will become a deputy, who will govern the institutions. Organized crime gangs have taken Albanians and the country hostage, Rama has degraded Albania.

We have called the next protest on October 29 with civil disobedience. Rama presents a different Albania, we don't have a functional democracy. How can we talk about functional democracy in Albania when we have the leader of the opposition in prison without facts and evidence, when he has denounced corruption in the country. How can we talk about democracy when MP Ervin Salianji is in prison. When the former president is arrested as if he were a mobster and bandit, while gangs and criminals are notified and flee Albania.

Citizens flee this regime at their peril in rafts. We are here for any injustice against every Albanian and to make international people aware of what is happening in Albania", said Hoti./ CNA
