Absence of the prime minister in the parliamentary session/ Topi: Rama's
Former president Bamir Topi

Former president Bamir Topi has commented on the scandal with the arrest of the former senior FBI official, Charles McGonigal.

In a television appearance, the former President stated that for the USA this is a political and legal issue, while in Albania it is entirely political.

The former President emphasized that Prime Minister Edi Rama should be transparent, as the lack of this increases doubts.

" I have seen it in two plans where he has the obligation to give all the explanation that has to do with his country in the USA. It is a political and legal problem.

Here in Albania, a political decision remains. There is no transparency here. A lack of transparency from the individuals involved in a situation adds to the suspicions. Where there is doubt, cacophony is added ," Topi said.

Among other things, he also commented on the guilt that Rama was absent from the parliament, saying that he does not consider the parliament and that this is an old illness of his.

"It is the prime minister's obligation to be as transparent as he can. As far as I can see, he avoided the parliament. I would say that this is an old disease that characterizes Rama. It does not consider the parliament", continued the former President./ CNA.al
