Rally against SPAK/Cupi: Rama is violating the Constitution and merging the

Democratic Party MP Dhurata Çupi, in a post on Facebook, responded to the rally called by Prime Minister Edi Rama against SPAK.

?upi has described his action as an unconstitutional and anti-democratic display.

She emphasizes that Rama's decision to summon local government employees to appeal is a flagrant violation of the autonomy that the Constitution and the law guarantee.

According to the MP, this action is an attempt to merge the state with the party, in order to strengthen the personal power of the prime minister and attack segments of the judiciary that are not under his control.

The MP added that Tirana, as the largest municipality, cannot be run by appointed individuals and called for the dismissal or resignation of Mayor Erion Veliaj, as a fair and honest solution for the city.

She also stated that, despite the influence of corruption at the top of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama cannot hold the capital hostage.
