SP Assembly convenes/ Rama: I will also be mayor remotely

The leader of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama, convened the Socialist Party Assembly for Tirana this afternoon at the Tirana Hotel.

Erion Veliaj was absent from the podium, while Rama had only Manastirli at his side.

At this Assembly, Rama declared that he will also be mayor remotely.

"I will also be a remote mayor. I will now meet with all the general directors."

Regarding the investigation process against Veliaj, Rama said that this is a blow to the campaign.

"They are hitting us for electoral reasons. This is a big blow to the SP," Rama said.  

Rama said that there is great malice towards Erion Veliaj and that the data on large purchases is abusive.

"The jewelry was purchased for cultural performances. Not for personal use."

Regarding the much-mentioned informant Nesti Angoni, Rama said that there is no chance that he is a single person.

"I have my doubts and I will deal with this as well. There is no one in the republic who can conduct such an investigation for a lifetime," Rama said.

While addressing the members of the Assembly, Rama said: "You need to work harder. The damage from this blow must be compensated." /CNA
