The socialist mayor, officially accused/ SPAK sends the file for trial

The Mayor of Rrogozhina, Edison Memolla, has been officially taken as a defendant by SPAK.

The Special Prosecutor's Office has completed the investigations and requested that the file accusing Memolla be sent for trial.

Specifically, the socialist mayor is accused of committing the criminal offense "Active corruption in elections" committed in collaboration.

From SPAK's investigations, it has been found and proved that the defendant Memolla, in the partial local elections of March 6, 2022, influenced the electrician Blerim Xhamani not to cut off the electricity to a debtor subscriber, with the aim of voting in his favor, as and communicated with him about employment in the Rrogozhin Municipality, in exchange for a vote.

Also, the citizens Ndriçim Tafxhafa, Blerim Xhamani and Isuf Tosku were also taken as defendants.

The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has completed the investigations and requested the sending for trial of criminal proceedings no. 57 of 2022, in charge of the defendants:

Edison Memolla, acting Mayor of Rrogozhinë Municipality, accused of committing the criminal offense "Active corruption in elections" carried out in cooperation, provided by article 328-25 of the Criminal Code;

Ndriçim Tafxhafa, accused of committing the criminal offense "Active corruption in elections" provided for by Article 328 of the Criminal Code;

Blerim Xhamani, accused of committing the criminal offenses "Active corruption in elections" committed in collaboration and "Forgery of documents" committed in collaboration, provided by articles 328-25 and 186 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code;

Isuf Tosku, accused of committing the criminal offense "Forgery of documents" carried out in cooperation, provided by article 186 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.

This criminal proceeding was recorded after the broadcast on television networks of an audio recording, where citizen Edison Memolla - candidate for Mayor of Rrogozhinë, influences citizen Blerim Xhamani - electrician at FSHU (Universal Service Provider) Durrës, Rrogozhinë branch, not to cut off electricity to a debtor subscriber, in order to vote in his favor in the partial local elections on 06.03.2022.

From the entirety of the investigative actions, it has been found and proven that the defendant Edison Memolla, candidate for Mayor of Rrogozhinë, in the partial local elections of 06.03.2022, influences the defendant Blerim Xhamani, who is an electrician at FSHU Durrës, Rrogozhinë branch, not to cut off electricity to a debtor subscriber, in order to vote in his favor in the partial local elections on 06.03.2022, as well as communicating with the defendant Blerim Xhamani, for employment in the Rrogozhin Municipality, in exchange for a vote .

The defendant, Ndriçim Tafxhafa, has promised a citizen to pay off obligations to OSHEE and for housing, asking her to vote in favor of a certain candidate in the partial local elections to be held in Rrogozhinë on 06.03.2022.

Also, the defendants Blerim Xhamani and Isuf Tosku have falsified the data in the minutes of the interruption of electricity, presenting false data, since they have not actually interrupted the electricity of the debtor subscriber./ CNA
