The "Socialist Girls and Women for Albania 2030" meeting was held in Tirana today, just before the start of the campaign for the May 11 elections. Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present.

Rama begins his speech with a joke about the delay created during the virtual connection meeting with the districts.

"It was the last attempt of the evil eye," said Rama.

In his speech, Rama said he is proud that the SP is supported by women and girls. Rama also shared some data expressed in percentages, where support from women prevailed.

Rama said that the success of the effort for Albania's 2030 membership in the EU depends on the mothers, sisters, and daughters of Albania.

"Today we have gathered simultaneously in the 12 counties where the competitions are taking place to officially launch the May 11 campaign. This meeting was the only way to connect the forces of the women's forum. The meeting is held to convey a direct message, that Albania is a woman, Europe is a woman and the success of the effort for Albania in the EU in 2030 depends on the mothers, sisters, daughters of Albania.

"It makes me proud that the SP is supported by women and girls. The SP is supported by 56% of women and girls voters. Support in certain districts reaches 65%. Support is lower for men. But I would never exchange the meaningful support of the most sensitive and most sacrificial part, which are women and girls, for the support of the rest," said Rama./CNA
