CEC hosts 19 delegations of Electoral Management bodies

The Central Election Commission hosted today 19 delegations from different countries from the Electoral Management Bodies.

Through a post, the CEC says that these representatives are in Albania as part of the "International Election Observers Program".

Delegations of election management bodies will observe election day.

The CEC of Albania hosted 19 delegations from Electoral Management Bodies from various countries around the world and organizations operating in the field of elections.

Representatives of the CECs from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Georgia, Croatia, Kosovo, Lithuania, Moldova, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Finland, Sweden, Turkey and the World Organization of Electoral Commissions are in our country as part of the "International Election Observer Program", which is being conducted for the second time by the CEC.

We introduced them to the preparations for the electoral process, the functioning of the second and third level electoral commissions, monitoring of the electoral campaign, the stages and progress of the electronic voting process, electronic voter identification, electronic voting and counting.

We presented a comprehensive picture of the measures taken to guarantee the integrity of the process and the transparency of the electoral administration. They were also informed of the institutional efforts together with SPAK and the General Prosecutor's Office to combat electoral crimes and avoid the use of state resources in the campaign.

The international observer program aims to present not only the Albanian experience of preparing, managing and administering electoral processes, but also to offer the experience of successful innovations that Albania has implemented in electoral processes, such as electronic voter identification and voting from abroad.

Delegations of election management bodies will observe election day and will get acquainted with some of the tourist and cultural sites of our country./ CNA
