The head of the PD branch, Durrës Dritan Burgija, on the 32nd anniversary of the founding of the party, spoke about the journey of the democrats over the years.

According to him. the birth of the first opposition party in the winter of '90 when students followed by intellectuals and workers started the irreversible path towards democracy and marking the great historical turning point, makes us gather every year to remember the genesis and honor the protagonists.

Burgija ka shprehur  mirënjohje të veçantë ndaj të gjithë themeluesve të PD-së Durrës edhe atyre që sot nuk janë më mes nesh, si dhe gjithë kontributorëve që kanë lënë gjurmën e tyre në themel të kësaj Dege në ditë të mira e të vështira.

“PD në themel të saj ka patur mendimin e lirë, në rrugëtimin e saj ka pasur ulje dhe ngritje, konflikte të brendshme të pashmangshme, humbje dhe fitore, ka shtruar rrugën drejt Bashkimit Europian dhe ka lënë gjurmë në historinë e integrimit por është përballur edhe me skenarë eleminimi dhe ka qëndruar sepse demokratët kanë ditur të luftojnë duke ruajtur idealizmin dhe besimin tek një e ardhme europiane e Shqipërisë.

Demokratët ditën të përballen me sfidat e regjimit korruptiv te rilindjes dhe zgjodhën të bashkohen rreth vlerave të moralit të lartë dhe të demokracisë.
