The government's bills to increase wages have created tensions and clashes.

The government expected to increase salaries for the administration, while the draft laws did not include MPs and ministers.

Prime Minister Edi Rama himself publicly stated a few days ago that he would not allow the salaries of his deputies and ministers to increase.

But the MPs insisted on being included in the salary increase. The government again rejected their request and postponed the increase.

These draft laws were discussed today in the Laws Committee, where during the debates, the deputies overturned the government's decision claiming that the hierarchical balance has been broken.

While for other problems the MPs of SP and DP argue and fight with each other, here they had an agreement, without expressing any hesitation. SP and DP MPs combined their votes and increased their salaries and those of the ministers.

They decided that their salaries will increase according to the coefficients. Thus, the salaries of deputies will be calculated with a coefficient of 0.73 and those of ministers with 0.75, in a hierarchy that starts with the highest salary of the President of the Republic.

With the approved changes, the salary of MPs will be about 310 thousand ALL from the 156,770 they currently have, while the ministers will have about 330,000 new gross ALL from the 228,730 they currently have./ CNA.al
