The "New Democracy" of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has won the European elections for Greece with a deep margin from the opponents of SYRIZA.

According to real-time results from the Hellenic Ministry of the Interior, "New Democracy" leads the election. SYRIZA is second, PASOK is ranked third, while the Hellenic Solution and KKE are dueling for fourth place in these elections.

In addition to the victory of Mitsotakis' party, the important fact is that with 87% of the votes counted so far, of the New Democracy MEP candidates, the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, ranks third.
