Freedom Party MP Petrit Vasili announced through a post on social media that Italian architect Stefano Boeri is under the target of the Milan Prosecutor's Office, which has requested house arrest for him.

Vasili emphasizes that Boeri is a close friend of Prime Minister Edi Rama, adding that the Italian architect is the drafter of the Tirana 2030 urban plan that includes the orbital forest, while Boeri has also contributed to the reconstruction after the earthquake in Tirana and Durrës.

"The Milan prosecutor's office today requested house arrest for Edi Rama's friend, Stefano Boeri, for corruption!
Boeri was and is Edi Rama's friend.

He is also the drafter of the Urban Plan for Tirana 2030, which was made by the Italian architect Stefano Boeri with the famous 'Vertical Forest.'
Boeri also drafted reconstruction plans in Tirana and Durres.

Here's how Edi Rama thanked Boeri:
"Stefano Boeri and Mario Cucinella, the two famous Italian architects, present to the national territorial council, two reconstruction plans in Tirana and Durrës, two new neighborhoods, one near the Tirana river and the other in the Spitalla area, which embody our ambition for the Albania we want. A new chapter is opening, for the cities of the future," said Rama.
