Tragic accident in Durrës/Manja: We will propose changes to the Criminal and Traffic Codes

The Chairman of the Laws Committee, Ulsi Manja, said today that changes to the Criminal and Road Codes will be proposed very soon, following Sunday's tragic accident in Durrës.

In his speech during today's meeting, Manja stated that these proposals will be addressed to the Albanian Parliament, as a way to intervene and address the appropriate measures for such serious events.

 "Together with several other colleagues, we will submit proposals to the Assembly for amendments to the Road and Criminal Codes. Such events should not occur for us to intervene, but we are examining all the shortcomings to address them with appropriate measures. The event is very serious. The perpetrator of the criminal offense can represent everything. He does not deserve to live among us anymore", - Manja emphasized. /CNA
