Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj

Mero Baze and Veliaj attack Rama/Corrupt prisons because they brought evidence

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj

As for the facts, he is right. Ilir Meta in Tirana, just like Veliaj in Durrës, is treated with a special, repressive, restrictive and in many cases humiliating regime. It is meaningless, for example, to restrict Ilir Meta's access to physical exercise, airing or even the banality of supplying him with fruit, which is given to him in rations "so that he doesn't make raki".

Here Mero Baze unites Meta with Veliaj, for the latter, friends take raki and Royal Salute to the Durrës prison in large quantities, moreover, he loves the 25-year-old.

These are two prisoners targeted by SPAK as a personal "bet" of the prosecutors and they want to be brutal in their behavior towards them at all costs. And they can only do this through the Prison Directorate, an institution with a long tradition of corruption, which is blackmailable by SPAK at any moment due to the prisons turning into a profitable industry for their leaders.

In fact, the Albanian government is run by the socialists, those who Meta brought to power, and for 13 years corruption has been fought and is disappearing according to the Meroves and their propaganda, and from these victories we are going to the EU. But here are the prisons that are corrupt when they are run from the minister to the director of the center with the selection of the SP and they are all committed structures of the Socialist Party. And these subordinates of Veliaj and Meta are falling on the necks of both of them, although this union is also not going well.

In fact, with what Mero says, he reinforces his thesis that Edi Rama put Veliaj in prison, using SPAK and now prisons to persecute him. Well, why are they destroying Meta in Tirana?

It is enough to compare the restrictions on Veliaj and Meta with the facilities that other criminals receive, who provide escorts in prison or have transformed the prison into a holiday camp with special treatment. Everything is paid for. A mobile phone inserted for a month, with the knowledge of the administration, costs about 1500 euros; other facilities are paid for one by one.

Mero has not yet published his denunciations regarding these cases. But he must tell us whether Erion Veliaj had a phone in his cell? With or without money, his own or someone else's?

Of course, Ilir Meta and Erion Veliaj cannot be asked for money. For this reason, they want to appear ?principled? and show their servility to SPAK by punishing them.

They don't have to ask for money because they'll give you what you want for free, Erioni's brandy and whiskey together.

And here the government's responsibility is why it leaves prisons in the hands of such people, who are susceptible to blackmail and, consequently, willing to exercise repression.

In the end, without any facts or evidence, but with his hallucinations, malice, and anger, the Veliaj family journalist, once Saliu's unwashed servant, Mero Baze, attacks law enforcement officials, simply because a new scheme was hatched to block the trial of Erion Veliaj.

In fact, Erion Veliaj is the defendant on 13 charges, not the chief of propaganda that is published and manipulated by Mero Baze to overthrow the government.

In fact, both Veliaj and Baze are together to overthrow Rama the day he doesn't support them and asks what dish to cook for Durrës prison, or the soup of the day that feeds Mero. / CNA

Mero Baze: Ilir Meta should have been in prison, but what about Erion?

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj

There is a very simple way to understand the evolution of legal thought in Mero Baze's tired and miserable editorials. It is enough to read what he wrote yesterday about the arrest of Ilir Meta and then evolve and read the opposite today about the arrest of Erion Veliaj.

In his writings about Meta, Mero Baze was very clear: Justice had made a grave mistake by not arresting him in time. He even called the moment when Meta was not arrested "a symbol of the impunity of Albanian politicians."

According to him, if the rule of law were to function, the arrest of a senior politician would be the best example of impunity.

So, the standard was crystal clear, when justice arrests powerful politicians, this is a sign of the rule of law.

Then a few months passed and a strange thing happened, the justice system arrested another powerful politician, Erion Veliaj. Suddenly the theory of the man who licked Ilir Meta's shoes and then asked to participate in the medical ceremony of checking Veliaj's anus changed.

The arrest of a senior politician, who was once the "best example of impunity," turned into a problem, into an excess, into a concern about the way SPAK is operating.

In fact, Veliaj's arrest came because he was destroying evidence and was on duty, while Meta could be pursued with other security measures because he had no official duties, except for a party where only Tedi Blushi remained full-time, because Tit Vasili does not take on more than 2 hours of work a day and Haxhinasto has now passed on to Rilindja.

Let's stick to the essence and evolution of the miserable opinion of the miserable Mero. We have two very elegant standards, when Ilir Meta is arrested, justice must act and should even have done so earlier, even though he was not an official in power but simply in the opposition.

When Erion Veliaj is arrested, the justice system should be very careful, perhaps even not arresting him at all, even though he is on duty and destroying evidence.

Although now, to hide behind his finger, the "wretched" says that Meta is also being wrongly held in prison, when in fact he was seeking to be arrested without evidence or charges.

In short, the theory is no longer ?arrest as a symbol of punishment?.

The new theory is much more practical: the symbol of impunity only applies when others are arrested, not those the wretched billionaire of the Renaissance wants.

It's not his fault, with a torn shirt and pants during Berisha's time, today he owns tens of millions of euros in his own name and that of his children. (READ HERE)

Here lies the essence of the mental conflicts that, beyond money, come from a kind of premature syndrome of old age in solitude and the abandonment that has come from the disgust that is aroused everywhere.

Not in vain, without much ado, a great legal principle was transformed into a very simple editorial rule, justice is always fair... as long as it doesn't arrest the people who pay Meron, although even Meta claims that Baze's media sloppiness has cost him quite a bit.

By Mero Baze/ Editorial dated 21.10.2024

The reason why Ilir Meta's arrest happened today and not earlier is, of course, political. If it weren't for politics, Ilir Meta and Sali Berisha would have been brought to justice two decades ago. Sali Berisha when he was arrested by Ilir Meta in the middle of the street and dragged away, or later in Gërdec on January 21, and Ilir Meta when he appeared with voice and figure before Albanians in 2011.

If there was justice in Albania, and no political protection, the Court would arrest Ilir Meta, and he would become an example of punishment by the rule of law. After that, Sali Berisha would not be forced to kill on the boulevard for him, and then the High Court would not be forced to say that the tape of Ilir Meta does not exist, after seeing Sali Berisha having dinner until midnight at his house.

So the best moment, which could have been the best example of a politician's impunity, turned into a symbol of impunity.

The way justice buried the "Ilir Meta" case and then the January 21 murders that occurred precisely because of anger over what was happening to Ilir Meta, cemented in Albania the monument of impunity for Albanian politicians, especially those at high levels.

To further consolidate this model, Ilir Meta betrayed Sali Berisha, joined forces with Edi Rama, and seized two other high positions of power, becoming Speaker of Parliament and President of the Republic.

We all agreed that Ilir Meta should be politically amnestied.

Edi Rama accepted it, making him a political ally, society accepted it, surrendering to corruption, the DP and Berisha accepted it, who called Rama's alliance with Meta an alliance of scumbags and in 2017 made him an ally again, the justice system accepted it, which seemed to have finally given up on punishing politics.

When Sali Berisha attempted to split the Rama-Meta coalition in 2015 by raising the CEEZ DIA issue in parliament, Ilir Meta mentioned his son Shkëlzen Berisha, telling him that he had resigned from him, and would not do so again.

Fortunately, things started to change right then.

The European Union and the US decided to support the creation of a justice system in Albania to end the impunity of Albanian politics. Under strong pressure from the West and false hopes that they could catch the system on the way, Albanian politicians voted with 140 votes for the new Justice Reform.

For the sake of truth, two of the most lucid people about what awaited them at that moment were Illir Meta and Sali Berisha, who were terribly against it, but believed that their political power would grow and they would control the system they were approving.

Eight years after that vote, Albania today has an authoritarian justice institution that is bringing to justice every senior politician who comes before it. Most of them are socialists. They have accepted this reform and are naturally accepting the punishments it entails.

Ilir Meta and Sali Berisha applaud the arrests of socialists every day and then get upset because charges have also been filed against Ilir Meta and Sali Berisha.

The attempt to call their prosecution a political punishment is only true in one respect, that they have been politically protected up until now. Now there is no one to protect them politically anymore.

And even more worried are the fact that Ilir Meta's brutal arrest has not produced "civil disobedience" on the streets of Tirana. Sali Berisha, who pretends to be worried about this thing that he himself has taken from Ilir Meta, is trying to test with the arrest of Ilir Meta the reaction he will have when he is arrested. That is why he is so desperate.

After January 21, Ilir Meta was defended by Sali Berisha, who went to his house for dinner the day before the Supreme Court's decision on him. Then the two of them jointly established an investigative commission against the General Prosecutor's Office, the President, and journalists so that they would not be investigated for January 21. Then they started to take out each other's cabbages, because they had been politically divided for some time.

Now politics is no longer valid. She protected them as much as she could.

Both have been in politics since 1990, and Albania has given them everything it can give a politician, making them MPs, presidents, prime ministers, and billionaires.

Now they have the fate of facing what they have done to Albania. I know they are not ashamed of what they have done to Albania as "statesmen", but at least they should not be ashamed as "ladies' men" when their names are pronounced by the prosecutor./ CNA

Mero Baze has admitted: Zeni and Tigri pay me, Zdromsi knew?!

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj

A while ago, Mero Baze had discovered a very interesting theory about Albanian journalism: anyone who criticizes SPAK is automatically in someone's "borderote".

Some were on the payroll of Arben Ahmetaj, some were on the payroll of Shkëlzen Berisha. In short, those who were against SPAK were all bought.

It was a very clear moral map of journalism: whoever defends SPAK is clean, whoever criticizes it is on the payroll of Tigris or Zenit.

For a short time, a small "something" happened from SPAK, Erion Veliaj was simply arrested.

Suddenly, the theory of "borders" from Ahmetaj to Zeni underwent a scientific evolution.

SPAK, which until yesterday was the institution that was supposed to be protected from "paid" journalists, turned overnight into an institution that is committing injustice, that is making mistakes, that is exceeding its competences.

According to Mero Baze's first standard, the question arises, when a journalist attacks SPAK today, whose payroll is he on?

Or to be clearer on which roster Mero Baze is in, Zenit or Tigris, since we know those of Veliaj and some others.

Apparently the problem with Mero's "grand theories" is that they work miraculously until one day the GJKKO at the request of SPAK changed the reality of the theory, after the court decided that another name should be arrested, following the prosecutors' request. This is probably the one who paid the most or continues to pay even more.

Now either Mero has lost his "boarding theory" or he has added boarders and doesn't care about his miserable theories, enough of the boarders.

18.08.2023

Mero Baze, on September 18, 2023, wrote that SPAK prosecutors are being attacked by journalists who are on the payroll of Arben Ahmetaj and Shkëlzen Berisha.

"The entire opposition of Berisha and Meta, and all the journalists who are some on the wanted list, some on Shkelzen's list, have rushed to the SPAK prosecutors, asking why they don't arrest x person, why they arrest y person, praising a judge who has requested more investigations, and lynching a prosecutor who has imprisoned 9 people in one day," Baze writes.

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj
Written by Mero Baze on September 18, 2023

So who are the journalists paid by Arben Ahmetaj and Shkëlzeni, what unites them and how can they be distinguished?

They are journalists, pseudo-journalists, and supposedly opposition analysts who, with the approval of the Meta-Berisha duo, came to the defense of the corruption of Arben Ahmetaj, the former number two in the government.

It is unprecedented for an opposition to engage in defending the corruption of the number two in power, instead of politically benefiting from the details of the horrific corruption.

They are the journalists and analysts who appear smoking cigars and eating shrimp with Arben Ahmetaj, who never talk about the affairs of the Berisha family and who surprisingly also defend some government ministers, who are accused of corruption. (Mero, in fact, talks a lot about the affairs of the Rama government or its officials, he choked him).

It is precisely those analysts and corrupt former DP officials, disguised as journalists after 2013, who have villas in Farka, Gjiri i Lalzi and Palasa. (Mero Baze, according to data extracted from the cadastre, was able to register assets worth tens of millions of euros, apartments, villas and hotels in the south of the country).

Journalists on the payroll of Tigris and Zenit are easily distinguished because they never talk about the oligarchs, just as Berisha, Meta and Kryemadhi do not talk, that is, about the oligarchs who are distributing public wealth and money, with government decisions. (Mero opened his mouth about the oligarchs of power, in fact, Rama, Veliaj, Beqje, the ministers of Rilindja, including Balluk who is in trouble or Ulsi who appears in his dreams).

It seems unbelievable, but the Berisha-Meta duo with the journalists on the payroll of Tigris and Zenit, in recent days have also been defending Edi Rama from Erion Veliaj's "conspiracy", after Rama took Shkëlzen's tower under his protection. (Now he is protecting Mero, but who is paying more today: Rama or Veliaj?)

Currently, the Berisha-Meta duo with the journalists on the payroll of Tigris and Zenit, attack only SPAK prosecutors for why they do not arrest the people they say, attack Erion Veliaj for not overthrowing Rama, some journalist who is not seen and is not bought, as well as the incinerators, because they did not receive the fine they requested. (Now SPAK is attacking Mero Baze, why? Was he paid or not by the incinerators? Was he paid or not by the sterilization? Was he paid and is being paid by Veliaj.)

The sterilization file is discrediting them even more in the eyes of Albanians, as they cannot talk about the other three concessions, that of hemodialysis, check-ups and laboratories, because behind them stands Klod Allajbeu, who launders Shkëlzen's money in the ghost blueberry factory in Gërdec. (Here Mero has lost his bearings as soon as he received the advertisements from Allajbeu, because he received them from Vilma of the check-ups on time).

Sali Berisha, Ilir Meta and their media hounds are left speechless if they mention Klod's affairs with Ilir Beqaj and Ogerta Manastirliu. (Mero has evolved because age is a factor, old age is coming to him quickly, his speech has thickened a lot along with his evolved mentality, after he has changed his stance 10 times, he pretends to curse them, but from these ministers and their concessions he has filled his pockets).

And when they lose even more heavily in the next elections, they pretend to be upset for 2-3 days, inventing the most banal alibis.

Their problem is to stay together to maintain the opposition monopoly, to protect themselves from SPAK's actions, and to seize whatever power the oligarchs leave behind. (Now what is Mero protecting himself from?)

Mental misery is little, very little./ CNA

Mero Baze's Assholes/ "New justice is needed, Berisha and his men in prison"

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj
Mero Base

In a reaction to Kosovo's "Express" on November 30, 2013, when Rilindja had just come to power, Mero Baze called for the arrest of Berisha, Genc Ruli, etc., but, according to him, Albania was not yet ready.

CNA is bringing below some of Mero Baze's positions yesterday and his positions today that differ greatly from yesterday.

He demanded a popular referendum and justice reform, and fiercely supported it until the arrest of Sali Berisha. He rubbed his belly for Berisha and Meta, cried a little for Ilir Beqe, and burst into tears for Veliaj.

Mero Baze's ass-kicking (in fact, it seems like an assessment that insults the ass if you compare him to Mero, as he likes to do, and in terms of his wickedness, he is even more evil than the devil) has no end, old age has probably made him a coward. Either he has dementia, or he remains a mercenary turned billionaire with villas and hotels.

CNA will bring dozens of articles to understand how Mero Baze, who in political and media circles bears the nickname of the terrorist, as Ylli Rakipi likes to call him, is actually worth less than the sewage spills that have been festering in Lana for decades.

But there are also such remnants that anyone can bring out, such as Berisha, Meta, Rama or even Veliaj, with the latter Mero could not realize his dream of being there when he checked his anus months ago.

Renowned Albanian journalist and publisher of the newspaper "TemA", Mero Baze, has commented for "Express" on the issue of the anti-corruption fight in Albania and the possibility of arresting former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his government's exponents. This topic has been discussed recently in Brussels, in the context of the conditionality of Albania's integration into the European Union and the evidence that Tirana must provide in the anti-corruption fight.

Baze says that it is now clear that Berisha has grounds to be arrested. But, according to him, it is unlikely that something like this will happen due to the degradation of the justice system in Albania.

"Albania seems not to be ready for this yet. Not so much because of the will of the government as because of the degradation of the justice system, which is also a product of Berisha's rule," he says. "If the West wants to know when Albania will have a legal state, it does not need to monitor Albania, but simply wait to hear when Sali Berisha will be arrested. Sali Berisha has committed clear criminal acts, for which he could be arrested and never get out of prison, if the legal state is ever established in Albania," he adds.

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj
Mero Baze's statement in 2013

Here he was probably looking at names when SPAK was taking orders from him, the same dream he has today with Erion Veliaj.

According to Baze, there are many exponents of the former government in Albania who could be arrested.

"Genc Ruli has committed clear violations of the law with economic damage, by signing concessions that should have been signed by Parliament, Arben Imami has caused havoc with the military's businesses, illegal wiretapping of the opposition and illegal financing of pro-government media during the Berisha era, Lulzim Basha has escaped charges for 220 million euros through procedure, without facing trial, Fatmir Mediu has escaped prison by using immunity, Eduard Halimi has used prisoners in the last campaign by making promises to pardon life sentences," Baze says.

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj
Mero Baze's statement in 2013

But can Edi Rama's government cope politically with such an undertaking?

"Justice deals with punishment. But the problem here is justice. It is the most arrogant and the most incriminated. A show on 'Fiks Fare', one of the best in the history of Albanian press, proved that for three consecutive months an Albanian convict had to pay from the secretary of the court in Puka to the president of the High Court in Tirana. And today Berisha's former Minister of Justice has come out to defend them. So, the biggest problem here is who will punish Albanian justice," he says.

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj
Mero Baze's statement in 2013

"If Edi Rama and this government intend to do something, they should start by reforming the judiciary, expanding this system, holding a referendum on these constitutional changes, to make the people the masters of this change and then start punishing criminal histories in Albania. With this justice, crime and corruption in Albania are on a roll," he emphasizes.

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj
Mero Baze's statement in 2013

How beautifully Mero Baze spoke about reformed justice, about arrests in 2013. There is a very interesting thing in Albania: some ideas seem great... until they start being implemented.

In 2013, Mero Baze was very clear

Albania would become a state of law the day Sali Berisha was arrested. He even saw the arrest of powerful politicians as the purest symbol of justice. Berisha is under indictment, has a criminal record, was forced to stay under house arrest for almost a year. The criminal process against him continues as Mero Baze, who was the standard-bearer of the new justice, wanted.

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj
Mero Baze's statement

A reform that has removed almost half of the people in the old justice system, where quite a few individuals have been unfairly targeted and many others in the system are instruments of the socialist majority. A reform welcomed and supported by everyone, except Sali Berisha who expected his fate from this reform.

From her, Mero Baze expected the downfall of his spiritual father, the one who once praised him and stood in his hallway, had now made him an enemy, having preferred to change his bed and go to Edi Rama, the man who once did not even spare his son with dirty and perverse accusations. In fact, this is Mero Baze.

Then something unexpected happened.

Justice reform was carried out. The Constitution was changed. Vetting was carried out. SPAK was established. And, to everyone's surprise, justice began to do exactly what had been demanded for years by both yesterday's Mero and today's wretched people: investigate politicians. and even arrest them.

And here the comedy begins. Because the moment justice began to really function, the old theory was updated. The arrest of politicians, which yesterday was "proof of the rule of law", today requires deeper analysis, greater caution and perhaps... a little less arrests.

Berisha and Meta are arrested, they applaud, Veliaj is arrested on duty, destroying evidence, never mind that he is not called on duty, only they are called. They did not do this for Saimir Tahiri, nor for Ilir Beqje, nor for Lefter Koka, nor for Vangjush Dako or several other mayors. Now that Veliaj was imprisoned, the song has changed.

We can see it as a beautiful evolution: Phase 1: "Arrest the politicians, so we can have a rule of law." Phase 2: "But not these politicians... wait a minute, these... that's how it is."

Essentially, the justice reform worked. The problem is that it worked very well, there may be problems, but SPAK started to function so well that it started to affect people at the highest levels such as former presidents, former prime ministers, ministers, deputy ministers, deputies, mayors, not only with theories and editorials that yesterday called for arrests, today they say, "but not Erioni."

And for this, Mero forgot everything and didn't even spare the partisan deserter Sadushi, who had taken him out into the open and taken his face, although in time his mask would fall off.

A new, very practical standard was created: justice is excellent when promised, necessary when demanded, but problematic when implemented. They want justice, but according to their own scales that steal with a candelabra.

They wanted a state of law and justice only as an idea. As long as it remains an idea, it's fantastic. When it's implemented, it's ruined./ CNA

Arbër Veliaj, Mero Baze's big problem

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj

The journalist of the Veliaj family, Mero Baze, once a servant of Sali Berisha, who was expelled by the latter after 2006 because he smelled bad when he went to his office, has started a new scheme.

As always, after insulting Berisha, his family, children, women, minors as Mero Baze usually does, he cried over the plight of Erion's brother, Arbër Veliaj, for whom he was concerned in his tired editorial that comes from boredom, anger, jealousy, intrigue, disgust, and filth, showing us that he is in great trouble.

Beyond Saliu and Shkëlzeni, there is a bigger problem that we have: Arbër Veliaj.

It starts with simple questions. Prosecutor Ols Dado wants to investigate and charge Erion Veliaj's brother, who has a legal marketing company and distributes advertisements for "One" and several other companies, with money laundering.

A fraud that is in question.

First, ordinary journalists who go about their professional work every day know very well that prosecutor Ols Dado did not request it today or yesterday.

Prosecutor Altin Dumani and prosecutor Ols Dado shared the investigative file of Erion Veliaj more than a year ago.

The first part of the file with 13 charges was taken to court on July 24 of last year, and the rest has been opened by a faction and is being investigated on suspicions of money laundering or actions in other companies related to the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, namely his position and the benefits or money that may have circulated in his brother's company.

Can Mero Baze tell us what the problem is, why Erion Veliaj's brother should not be investigated in this case?

Well, the prime minister said don't arrest them, pursue them at large, now Mero Baze, the disgusting mind of servility to political power, demands that they not even be investigated.

Arbër Veliaj should not be investigated, says Mero. Why? Because he is simply a middleman who takes money from several companies and passes it on to several media outlets.

How much money did Mero Baze receive from this company?

Above he told us that there should be no investigation at all, below we are asking him: How much money did you receive? Why are you worried about Arbri?

According to tax data, there are around 300 thousand euros in payments made to Mero Baze by the company "GOGEL".

The answer is very simple. Mero Baze is lying by saying that the investigation has just begun and they are asking to investigate, while the investigation has been going on for a long time, every journalist knows this.

He tells us that there is a legal marketing company, he doesn't say who is illegal, but he tells us not to investigate this company because it is in big trouble.

The problem is that he was paid hundreds of thousands of euros by the company "GOGEL".

He then talks about the company "One".

In fact, from the announcement and SPAK, it does not appear officially that there is any investigation into the "One" company.

Mero is lying that there is psychological pressure to sever the relationship between the "One" company and Arbër Veliaj, because the latter is the financial source that pays the lawyers.

In fact, Arbër Veliaj is the man who pays media outlets like Mero Baze, Carlo Bollino, other anonymous media outlets and fines for attacks on SPAK prosecutors, judges, and other people to make reports, has written articles through lobbyists in foreign media to attack justice, and these are facts that Mero has also admitted, but the investigation is against Arbër Veliaj, not against the "One" company.

Moreover, for Mero to know, who pretends not to know and can lie to people, today the company "One" has officially confirmed that a few weeks ago the contract between it and "GOGEL" for the advertising campaign was re-signed. Now when there was pressure from SPAK, how did it manage to sign the contract?

Mero lies, he doesn't do anything else. He knows how to do that better than anyone.

The investigation against Arbër Veliaj was conducted because there are suspicions that he may have been purged, why shouldn't he be investigated?

Good thing Mero has the problem of the money that Arbër gives him, not only from "One", but also many other companies, which, knowing how the Albanian market works and where they have gone, to Arbër Veliaj to do campaigns and also because of Erion Veliaj's duty, but this is a private solution.

A question that needs to be asked is whether Arbër Veliaj or his companies directly or indirectly benefited from the position of mayor of Tirana, which was held by Erion Veliaj?

It's simple. The company "GOGEL" has had an activity since 2015 with two lekë, today it circulates tens of millions of euros, all coincidental since the moment Erion Veliaj became mayor of Tirana?

Did Arbër Veliaj benefit directly or indirectly from funds from the Municipality of Tirana, his brother who held the position?

If he received money and funds due to his brother's duty, which he then distributed to the media, Mero Baze knows very well that this is a violation of the law, Erion and his brother Arbri should be held criminally responsible.

Albanian taxpayers' money was used to distribute advertisements in the media or to run Erion's campaigns, or even to carry out what the journalist from Veliaj's family claims, namely the attacks against, not only a certain prosecutor's office as they want to identify it, but also against Ols Dado, Altin Dumani, Erjon Bani and Engert Pëllumbi, but also against BKH officers or prison officers or even the former Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja.

The scheme is simple.

Neither Mero nor Arbri need to get tired.

Has the latter benefited from money from the Municipality of Tirana, directly or indirectly through other companies, through advertising, funds? That is the essence.

If he has benefited from funds, he should go and be held accountable before the law, before justice. There are judges to judge him, if he is innocent, to look at his work, if he has benefited from Albanian taxes and they were then taken and misused or worse yet with closed schemes, smaller advertising areas are reported than reality and through third parties, different forms are created that sell larger areas, while declaring less.

Here too, there is another form of benefit, and if this money is obtained from a third party and given to Arbër Veliaj or goes through Erion Veliaj's firms, neither Ols Dado nor Dumani can help him, justice will decide./ CNA

Investigations against Veliaj, Mero Baze unleashes his fantasy/ "SPAK prosecutors should get permission from me"

Mero "miserable" against justice for Erion Veliaj
Erion Veliaj and Mero Baze

A new standard of justice is being invented in Albania. This would be a headline for the international media or for diplomats and lawyers of Albania and beyond.

But when you look at who invented this standard, you realize that it is simply the action of a paid mercenary (who stinks) like Mero Baze. Yes, yes, it is the same one who complained about the fact that he did not meet Erion Veliaj when he was checking his anus at the doctor in Durrës. Maybe we are making it a little banal from the beginning, but facts are facts.

The journalist of the Veliaj family, Mero Baze, is even more extremist than the prime minister in his prescriptions towards justice. Edi Rama said investigate, but do not detain them, while Veliaj's Mero says do not investigate them at all. Why is this or that person being investigated, asks Mero as naive, when in fact the person being investigated has paid 300 thousand euros. There is no guilt, there is trouble.

The Prime Minister told us: "Don't arrest corrupt officials, investigate them while they are free." A kind of procedural humanism, which was explained to us as a sign of legal citizenship.

Then the standard was refined even further: “In fact, it’s better not to investigate them at all.”

This is where the "moral" voice (like that of a prostitute expelled from a brothel for immorality) of some media outlets comes into play. Among them is Mero Baze, who explains to us that the investigations into the firm of the brother of the mayor of Tirana could scare away foreign investors. A truly touching concern for the business climate.

So, the new logic is this: if a foreign company pays the mayor's brother's firm to do the "promotion", then investigating this firm becomes almost an act hostile to investment.

If prosecutors Altin Dumani and Ols Dado decide to follow Mero Baze's enlightened advice, then perhaps they should make a small reform in the way the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) works.

First, they should give up on the old and somewhat primitive idea of ??investigating corruption. Because, apparently, investigations have a very dangerous effect: they can upset important people and even – true horror – scare away investors.

Secondly, before any procedural action, they should probably check a new legal criterion: is the case related to a family business in power, an advertising contract, or an interest that may not please the next editorial?

If so, then the wisest procedure would be very simple: put the file in the drawer and throw the key away. For the good of the business climate, of course.

In fact, to avoid misunderstandings in the future, perhaps SPAK could establish a new rule: before opening an investigation, an "editorial opinion" should be obtained in advance from Mero Baze. This saves time for justice, maintains the calm of the government, and allows investors to sleep peacefully.

Because in this new philosophy, the problem is not corruption. The problem is that someone might dare to investigate it.

At this pace recommended by the Prime Minister and advanced by Baze, we will soon reach the perfect formula: the prosecution should not arrest, not investigate, and ideally not even think about cases that may be related to corruption or investigations of officials.

Here we are stuck (not at all), on the prime minister's last thesis. The cure is more harmful than corruption itself.

A country corrupt to the core, since the time of the Ottomans, the only cure is lack of investigation, according to the poor Mero.

The small problem in this story is that Mero Baze himself turns out to be paid by the mayor's brother's firm for advertising in his media. The one who benefits financially from this relationship is also the one who comes out publicly and asks and explains why there should be no investigation.

The new standard of justice seems to be this: don't arrest, don't investigate, and if anyone dares to ask why, bring out an article about "terrorizing investors."

Because, in this new version of reality, the problem is not corruption. The problem is that someone might dare to investigate it.

Furthermore, it would be even better if SPAK prosecutors, with the new standards, should get permission from Mero to investigate who and who not.

I hope they understand this at SPAK, but now Mero must show how and where they will get the permit, at the offices he gained after blackmail and attacks on the businessman and Basha, at the villas in Kodra e Diellit, at the apartments or at the 10 million euro hotel in Ksamil?

Or should they ask for permits from the palaces in Peshtan, where tenders are awarded and deals are made for investments in the south of the country? Where should these SPAK prosecutors ask for permits?

One of the prosecutors could call him personally, send him a message. Or SPAK could issue a press statement and ask for permission, or go to his house like Veliaj did./ CNA
