Half of women say they are not very satisfied with their love lives, a recent survey shows. Why does this happen?

Recent research into women's sexual life has revealed some surprising facts.

In the study's findings, it appears that half of the participants reported discomfort due to sex, while one in five had at least one sexual dysfunction.

According to Susan Davis, professor at Monash University, sexual well-being is a basic human right and as such this particular study brings it into focus to highlight the factors that cause these negative feelings in women about sex.

As part of the research, 7,000 Australians aged 18-39 filled out questionnaires about sexual desires, orgasms, and sexual discomfort.

Low self-esteem related to their image was the most common disorder, observed in 11% of women.

Even more impressive is the fact that of the total number of women who reported some sexual dysfunction, approximately 30% had no problem in reality. In this case, behind the supposed sexual problems, were hidden feelings of guilt, shame, anxiety and general dissatisfaction with their sex life.

It has been reported that, according to previous research, women experience orgasm in only half of all sexual contacts.
