World-famous Albanian singer Rita Ora has been slammed by fans for promoting a $2,499 radiation-free MRI scan that 'the vast majority of people can't afford'. 

The singer, 33, was criticized after undergoing a ground-breaking Prenuvo scan, which provides early detection for more than 500 cancers and diseases.

Rita, whose mother Vera previously battled breast cancer, said she will do everything she can to keep herself healthy.

Sharing photos of herself before undergoing the scan, Rita wrote: "With my mum's history of breast cancer, being proactive rather than reactive with my physical health has always been so important to me. I believe so much in her doing everything i can to keep myself healthy and learn about my body so i recently went to @prenuvo for a full body scan.

However, Rita received harsh criticism from fans who pointed out that the scan will mostly be used by the 'rich' and not the common people. 

One Instagram user wrote: How much did this cost?! We mere mortals probably couldn't afford that luxury.

Another added: 'Wow, advertising proactive scans for the rich and privileged, a full body MRI is something the vast majority of people can't afford. I wonder if you paid for your scan?

A third wrote: This is great Rita, but how affordable is this for the average person? It may not even be accessible to the general public.

Another wrote: Your fans can't handle this but it's good for you isn't it?'
