Dr. House becomes… an archaeologist in Greek excavations

Famous British actor Hugh Laurie, known worldwide for his role as Dr. House, is heading to Greece to film a new international series with an archaeological theme.

The new production, titled "Dig", is based on the book "Excavations" by Kate Myers and is expected to premiere on the American network Peacock, with global distribution handled by Universal.

The series is created by Amy Poehler and Mike Schur, creators of the popular series "Parks and Recreation", and combines fiction with realistic elements, bringing mysterious stories to the screen among the archaeological sites and historical landscapes of Greece.

In addition to Hugh Laurie, the cast also includes Amy Poehler, Geraldine Viswanathan and Fina Strazza.

The series is directed by Dean Holland, known for his work on successful series such as "The Office" and "Entourage", while the book's author, Kate Myers, is also part of the executive producing team.
