The special gift Elton John received for Christmas

The great British singer Elton John has a lot to celebrate this holiday season. His classic song “Step Into Christmas,” released in 1973, has now been certified platinum in the United States, meaning it has sold at least one million copies in the U.S., according to official charts.

In the United Kingdom, the same song has been certified four times platinum, representing sales and streams of over 1.8 million copies, according to official UK sales.

To celebrate this milestone, the singer posted a photo on Instagram from his home in Windsor.

In the post, he described how special it is to him that a song that has been around for more than 50 years is still a part of the holidays for many people, and this year it even returned to the UK charts. /CNA
