On the thirteenth day of its mission, the Orion spacecraft reached its maximum distance from Earth, traveling farther than any other spacecraft built to house humans.

From a distance of 432,210 kilometers from Earth, Orion photographed the Moon and Earth in the same view.

Like Voyager 1's landmark Pale Blue Dot photo, the new image puts humanity's home in a different light. A blue rock in the dark universe.

The Artemis mission has so far exceeded NASA's expectations. Although it has completed only 31 of its 124 primary objectives, the NASA team is adding other objectives, such as continuous engine ignition.

Almost half of the remaining activities are ongoing, with the rest involving the return of the Orion spacecraft to Earth./ CNA.al
