Orthodox believers celebrate Black Friday/ Thousands of citizens perform the rites in Korça

Orthodox believers in Korça celebrated Black Friday to commemorate the sufferings of Jesus Christ.

Thousands of Korcar citizens and tourists have closely followed the rite of passage under the epitaph and the burial of Christ, organized by the Holy Metropolis.

The departure was made from the square of the "Resurrection of the Christ" Cathedral, where 6 epitaphs of the churches are united, while it continued on the two main boulevards.

The procession was led by the Metropolitan of Korça, Monsignor Johani.

Black Friday marks the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross, to be resurrected at midnight on Saturday, when the Easter celebrations also culminate.

Black Friday preceded Easter Sunday, where religious ceremonies are held as every year in the church./ CNA.al
