The Court of Appeal has upheld the decision for the former officer Nevaldo Hajdaraj, author of the murder of Klodian Rasha.

It is learned that the Appeal has decided not to overturn the sentence of 18 years in prison for the former policeman, who will serve 12 years in prison due to the shortened trial.

We recall that 25-year-old Klodian Rasha was killed on the evening of December 8, 2020 by the police officer of the "Eagle" unit. The event took place after the authorities decided on November 17 to restrict movement after 10:00 p.m., as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

After finding Rasha outside the police hours, the police officer called him to stop, but the young man did not obey him, while in pursuit he opened fire on the 25-year-old suspecting that he was armed. Meanwhile, the day after the murder of the 25-year-old, police authorities found a weapon about 200 meters away from the scene.

The conducted investigations showed that the pistol was not owned by Rasha, as there was no trace linking it to her./ BA - CNA.al
