The police give details/ How the officer was injured in Shkodër

The police have released details of the wounding of the officer in Shkodër.

As previously reported, the 49-year-old officer with the initials AO was shot in the head with a strong weapon, near his apartment, in the Zdrale area.

The police officer, while he was off duty, had a conflict with the 47-year-old OG for weak motives.

The Blues declare that during the conflict, the officer fired his service weapon involuntarily, but without causing damage.

The latter is out of danger for life, while efforts are being made to capture the 47-year-old, who immediately left the scene.

"Around 15:45, it is suspected that during a momentary conflict, for weak motives, the citizen OG, 47 years old, injured the citizen AO, 49 years old, resident of Shkodër (police employee, outside service), who is receiving treatment at the regional hospital of Shkodra and is out of danger for life. 

During the conflict, it is suspected that the police officer's service weapon was fired involuntarily, but without causing any damage.    

The Police Services, upon receiving the notification, immediately went to the scene and continue combing the area, for the capture of the 47-year-old.

The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues the work to fully clarify the circumstances of the event. 

Meanwhile, in relation to this incident, the AMP is also carrying out actions, to clarify the circumstances of the use or not of the firearm, as well as to determine whether the firing of the weapon was involuntary", the police announcement states./ CNA
