The Croatian police in Dubrovnik announced that inside a bus with Albanian license plates, a quantity of cocaine and heroin narcotics was seized.

The authorities also announced that there were two Albanians inside the bus.

 "Two men aged 41 and 33, both Albanian citizens, have approached the entry border control at KKM Karasovic, with a passenger bus with Albanian national markings. The bus was empty and was driven by the 33-year-old, while the 41-year-old was the substitute driver," the Croatian authorities stated.

During the control of the vehicle at the border point, it was noticed that modifications had been made to adapt the bus for drug smuggling.

Inside the vehicle, 10 packages wrapped in transparent paper were found, where 5 of them contained heroin weighing 5.4 kg, while the other 5 contained cocaine, and their weight was 5.6 kg.

According to the country's authorities, it is suspected that the destination of the two Albanians was one of the countries of Western Europe, which, due to investigations, has not been announced by the authorities. /CNA.al
