Wanted for 3 years for involvement in murder/ Albanian arrested in Italy, revealed by false documents

A 35-year-old Albanian man, wanted by Albanian authorities for 3 years, has been arrested in Moncalieri, Italy. According to Italian media reports, when stopped on the street by police, the Albanian presented officers with his identity card and a Spanish driver's license.

After being sent to the Turin police station for further investigation and verification, it turned out that the documents presented were completely forged, created to avoid possible controls within Europe.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed that the 35-year-old was internationally wanted by Albanian authorities, accused of being part of a criminal group, involvement in murder, illegal possession of weapons, and supplying means for criminal activity.

He was sentenced to three years and four months in prison by the Tirana court. His extradition to Albania is expected.  /CNA
