Wanted for fraud and weapons manufacturing/ 2 people arrested in Kapshtica and

A 32-year-old man was arrested at Qafë Thana customs after being declared an international wanted person.

FA, who was declared internationally wanted by Interpo Germany for the criminal offense of fraud, has been arrested.

Another wanted person was also arrested at Kapshtica customs, convicted of manufacturing and selling cold weapons.

21-year-old EK has been arrested and sentenced to 4 months in prison by the Korça Court.

Kapshtica BCP/1 citizen on national wanted list for illegal possession of weapons is arrested and detained.

Criminal proceedings are being initiated against 1 citizen who attempted to cross the border with a passport with a false stamp.    

Following the intensive work of the services of the Korça Local Directorate of Border and Migration, with the aim of preventing and combating cross-border crimes and apprehending wanted citizens or those attempting to cross the border irregularly, 2 wanted citizens were apprehended and 1 case of an attempt to cross the border with a passport with a false stamp was foiled, specifically:

1-At the Qafë Thanë BCP, at the entrance to the Republic of Albania, citizen FA, 32 years old, resident of North Macedonia, was arrested, after verifications revealed that he was internationally wanted by Interpol Wiesbaden/Germany, for the criminal offense of "Fraud". Interpol Tirana will carry out the procedures for the extradition of this citizen to Germany;

2-At the Kapshtica BCP, at the entrance to the Republic of Albania, citizen EK, 21 years old, resident of the village of Selenica e Pishës, was arrested after the Korça Court sentenced him to 4 months in prison for the criminal offense of "Manufacturing, possessing, purchasing or selling cold weapons".

The materials were also referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen IA, 55 years old, resident of the village of Plasë, after at the Kapshtica border checkpoint, at the exit from the Republic of Albania, during the verification of documentation, a suspected forged stamp was found in his passport.

The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
