The police of Korça have cracked down on the criminal activity of document forgery.

The Blues have handcuffed the 58-year-old with the initials AR, a resident of Korça. He was under "House Arrest" security measure, assigned by the Court of Korça, for the case of falsification of documents that was discovered in July 2023.

At that time, the 58-year-old was caught together with 2 other citizens, during the coded operation "The Counterfeiters".

But even though he was under "house arrest", he continued to exercise the activity of falsifying documents. During a search of his apartment, several Greek passports, computer equipment, production and forgery machines, mobile phones and a sum of euros were found and seized as material evidence.     

Work is currently underway to identify and bring to the fore the legal responsibility of other citizens involved in this criminal activity.

Meanwhile, the additional procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Korça General Jurisdiction./ CNA
