The residents of Porto Romano in Durrës have expressed that they feel afraid of the gas leaking from the tanks.

In a statement to the media, they said that this is not the first time this has happened, but it is the third or fourth.

They also recounted the panic created by this event, saying that the teachers of a school near the area requested that parents take their children as soon as possible, due to the danger. 

" The teachers informed us to take the children from the school as soon as possible, as the 9-year-old school is located very close to the factory area with the gas tanks. Where the leak is, it is very close to the 9-year-old school.

They took me from school, come and take the child as soon as possible because there is a gas leak. We took the children very seriously. This is not the first time, it is the third or fourth time that there have been explosions. The factory was closed for two or three days and nothing," said one of the residents./ CNA.al
