Montenegro/ 8 people suspected of international drug trafficking are arrested

Montenegrin police announced on Wednesday that they have arrested eight people suspected of participating in the international drug trafficking group from South America to Europe.

The action to arrest the suspects was carried out by order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, due to the suspicion that the individuals belong to an international criminal organization that is suspected of smuggling narcotics.

“Personat e përmendur dyshohen për veprat penale të krijimit të organizatës kriminale dhe prodhimit, posedimit dhe shpërndarjes së paautorizuar të narkotikëve. Gjatë përfundimit të aktiviteteve janë kryer masa dhe veprime policore-ligjore në territorin e shtatë shteteve dhe janë kryer kontrolle në gjithsej 52 zona” , njoftoi Drejtoria e Policisë së Malit të Zi.

Policia poashtu tha se në këtë operacion morën pjesë “200 punonjës të policisë, gjatë të cilit janë kontrolluar gjithsej 33 zona në Mal të Zi dhe me atë rast janë gjetur dhe konfiskuar disa dhjetëra mijëra euro, ora të shtrenjta, karta bankare, dokumente, municione dhe armë, një automjet dhe një skaf”.
